The Nepali Professionals' Summit
In early spring 2024, the Embassy of Nepal in Germany hosted the "Nepali Professionals' Summit" in Berlin together with the programme “Shaping development-oriented migration” (MEG).
The summit was a significant event for Nepali professionals working in Germany. The main objective of the event was to provide a platform for Nepali professionals in Germany to connect and engage in meaningful discussions. The summit featured panel discussions on several key topics including:
- Harnessing the diaspora’s knowledge capital
- Gender mainstreaming in Nepal and the role of the Nepali diaspora in Germany
- Climate change and energy
This two-day event facilitated peer exchange among the diaspora and was attended by around 70 professionals, along with delegates from the Nepali Ministries of Health, Energy, and Communication and Information Technology.
