About the Diaspora Advisory Board

In 2024, the Diaspora Advisory Board was created to advise the programme “Shaping development-oriented migration” (MEG) on its support for the diaspora. The board is made up of 16 highly qualified members of the diaspora from 14 countries of origin.
The members of the board work on a voluntary basis and advise the MEG on its services for the diaspora. They offer advice not only on the concrete offers of the programme, but also on a strategic level, to improve the services offered by the MEG.
The board members embody the diversity of the diaspora in Germany: both in terms of their countries of origin as well as their professional backgrounds and the nature of their involvement. However, the members have one thing in common: they recognise the vast potential of the diaspora's commitment and therefore keen to work together and with the MEG to ensure that the support offers for the diaspora are geared even more closely to the needs of this heterogenous community.
Curious to know who makes up the board?
