On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ has announced a special call for proposals aimed at diaspora organisations in Germany. This initiative focuses on innovative small-scale projects designed together with local partner organisations to help support decision making in regular (labour) migration processes towards Germany or other EU-countries.

Projects can receive up to EUR 49,500 in funding. However, smaller project ideas are encouraged due to easier management. Eligible projects must be implemented in one of the following countries: Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, and Tunisia. Projects that focus on regional migration around one of these seven countries are also eligible for funding.

GIZ is offering two digital consultation hours to answer general questions:

Tuesday, 24 June 2025, 5:00-6:30 pm (German, CEST): Join here

Thursday, 26 June 2025, 5:00-6:30 pm (English, CEST): Join here
